International seminar on the topic: “Development of processes and apparatus for dyeing and finishing of textile products” is hedl in Leskovac, Serbia

The seminar is part of the cooperation activities under the Erasmus+ program: 2025-1-BG01-KA210-ADU-000363229, “Training Workshop on Primary Textile Techniques”.

The coordinator of the cooperation is the Scientific Engineering Union for Textiles, Garment and Leathers – Sofia, Bulgaria [1] with Assoc. Prof. Ivelin Rahnev as chairman.

The leading organization of the seminar is the Faculty of Technology of Leskovac at the University of Niš (Serbia) [5] with Dean Prof. Dragiša Savić.

The organizational preparation of the seminar began in the auditoriums of the National House of Science and Technology of the FNTS – Sofia [3] on 25.06.2026 with an introductory report on the topic: Importance of the Erasmus+ program in the activities of the vocational training association, delivered by Assoc. Prof. Maria Spasova, project coordinator.

The scientific sessions began with plenary reports on 26.06.2026 in the auditoriums of the Faculty of Technology of Leskovac at the University of Niš (Serbia) [5] by renowned university lecturers Prof. Dragan Dordevic from the Faculty of Technology in Leskovac [5], Prof. Hale Karakas and Prof. A. Sezay Sarac from Istanbul Technical University, Turkey [4], Assoc. Prof. Darina Zheleva from UCTM – Sofia [2], Eng. Petar Petrov from PGTO “Dobro Zhelyazkov” – Sliven [8] and Assoc. Prof. Ivelin Rahnev from SEUTGL.

In the creative environment of the Leskovac Faculty of Technology, art history reports were presented by Prof. Suzana Dordevic from the Academy of Applied Studies Southern Serbia, Assoc. Prof. Tatyana Hristova-Popovska from the South-West University “Neofit Rilski” – Blagoevgrad [6] and Ms. Neshe Sarac from Altınbaş University – Istanbul, Turkey [7], on topics regarding the relationship between art, clothing design and primary textile techniques.

The lecture part of the seminar ended in the academic environment of the Faculty of Technology of Leskovac – a city of textile crafts and industry with traditions, with attendance at lectures and practical classes in textile dyeing and finishing.

This seminar is the fourth in a series of six scientific forums planned in the cooperation partner countries – Bulgaria, France, Turkey and Serbia.

The subject of the collaboration is the determination of primary textile techniques from the formation of the fibrous sheaf, through spinning and weaving, to the refinement of raw fabrics with natural means.

The project aims to develop equipment for practical training in spinning, weaving and finishing, and is funded by the national agency HRDC – Sofia [9] under the Erasmus+ program.
